Connect Garmin and Sync Automatically
FitKeep can import Garmin activities automatically so your training history stays up to date.
How Garmin sync works
After you connect your Garmin account, new activities are pulled into FitKeep automatically.
Connect Garmin in FitKeep
- Open Settings → Integrations
- Select Garmin and start the connection flow
- On Garmin’s authorization screen, turn on the “Historical Data” permission yourself — it is off by default, and FitKeep cannot enable it for you. With it on, we import your last 30 days right away so you see data immediately. Leave it off and only new activities will sync from then on.
- Authorize FitKeep in Garmin
- Return to FitKeep and confirm the connection
Importing more than 30 days of history
Garmin only lets us fetch your last 30 days of activities, so FitKeep cannot automatically pull in your full back catalog. To bring your entire history into FitKeep, export it from Garmin yourself and upload the FIT files:
- Request a full data export from Garmin Connect using their official guide: How to export your data from Garmin Connect
- Locate the FIT files in the export Garmin sends you
- Upload the FIT files to FitKeep
FitKeep automatically skips duplicates, so it is safe to upload activities that were already synced.
If new activities are not appearing
- Make sure Garmin integration is still connected in your settings
- Confirm the activity exists in Garmin Connect
- Wait a short time and refresh your activity list
- Reconnect Garmin if authorization has expired
